Gemstone, a national hotel management firm, needed to assess the supply and demand of one of its new properties located in a growing tourism destination in Northern California.
SMG senior hospitality consultants met with Gemstone management to understand the property’s lodging trends including occupancy levels, daily revenues and RevPars. SMG also implemented a destination asset overview of the entire area’s hospitality industry, as well as an assessment of historical lodging data for competitive lodging properties including marketing strategies and pricing.
Gemstone used SMG results as a basis for proceeding with their strategic options.
