2001 VCB Marketing & Strategy Survey Results Now Available

For the fifth year, SMG has conducted the SMG Visitor and Convention Bureau Marketing and Strategy Benchmark Practices Survey, a compilation of marketing information and strategies currently being implemented at visitor and convention bureaus around the country.

The 2001 survey results are in, and include over 110 responses from visitor organizations across the country, representing Rural, Urban and Suburban areas with a variety of budget sizes. Included in the survey, which consists of over 40 different questions, is benchmark data on marketing strategies, Internet use, potential impacts of September 11,2001, sales and promotional activities.

Designed to better understand the marketing activities of visitor and convention bureaus, the survey provides useful information to similar organizations around the country, allowing them to benchmark their own marketing activities.
