The Strategic Marketing Group and Precision Communications recently completed a Tourism Strategic Plan for the San Luis Obispo County Visitors and Convention Bureau. The plan was designed to assess the Countyandrsquo;s current tourism promotion situation and to provide specific recommendations to make the County more competitive and attractive to visitors. Information gathering included interviews with more than thirty tourism professionals as well as a review of all pertinent documents and tourism fulfillment pieces. Following a thorough analysis of this collected data and SMGandrsquo;s extensive knowledge of tourism marketing, the long-term plan was developed.
