Publisher's Note

It’s been a busy summer at SMG, and the pace hasn’t slowed down much.  In addition to various client projects throughout the state (ranging from winery feasibility studies to BID marketing plans), we’ve been increasingly involved with SMG’s new addition, Corporate Events in Soquel, which is responsible for the California Association of Bed and Breakfast Inns (CABBI).

In the wake of hurricanes and rising oil prices, many of us who rely on tourism are concerned about the impact this will have our industry.  We provide some recommendations for your organization to consider in light of these challenges.  I recently had the opportunity to give a presentation on online research tools, which has been distilled into a short article for your enjoyment.

In addition to our quarterly newsletter, we’ve been regularly updating our blog, where you’ll find posts ranging from research to our favorite Big Ideas.

As always, we appreciate feedback, so feel free to contact me with any thoughts or comments you may have.

Wishing you an inspiring Autumn

Regards,
